The Facilities at Lyzzick Hall
At Lyzzick Hall our aim is simply to provide a relaxing haven where courtesy and care come hand in hand with efficient and personal attention. We are very proud of our hardworking and friendly team of staff, for whom nothing will be too much trouble. We can provide a plethora of local knowledge, such as our favourite walks: from the gentlest woodland stroll to the summit of the highest peaks and how to access more adventurous activities like mountain biking, canoeing and ghyll scrambling. We also know the best places to take younger children, especially when it’s raining and would love to recommend towns, shops and cafés to explore and delight in.
We warmly welcome families and children to Lyzzick Hall. Some bedrooms can be shared with younger children and we have comfy cots and z-beds and we can advise you which rooms will best suit your needs. All ages are welcome in the dining-room or an early evening meal can be made for children from approximately 6pm. We prefer not to have a set “children’s menu” simply because we feel we can cater best to your child’s needs by offering them whatever they fancy, depending on what we have freshly available that day. We are positive your children will adore Lyzzick’s swimming pool, gardens and play area. We also have a selection of toys and books for children.
Lyzzick Hall is a hotel for all seasons. In the Winter come back from an invigorating walk or day of sight-seeing to relax with a pot of tea and homemade biscuits in front of a crackling log fire or indulge in a long cool drink in the garden or Orangery on those balmy summer evenings.
After a day on the fells and before a delicious dinner in our restaurant, revive yourself with a swim in our fully heated indoor pool or simply enjoy the stunning fell views whilst relaxing in the whirlpool bath or sauna. Just feel those aching limbs melt away.
