The Dining Room
Our restaurant is open to non-residents as well as guests at the hotel for lunches and dinner throughout the year.
We are very proud of the excellent reputation that Lyzzick Hall’s restaurant has acquired over the years. Everything is prepared by our experienced and talented chefs using the finest ingredients and often herbs from our own garden. We use local suppliers whenever we can, game from Cartmel to a wide selection of Cumbrian cheeses. We are confident that eating in our restaurant will be the highlight of your stay and most of our guests choose to dine with us every evening.
Our food is a combination of traditional and contemporary British food, often with an international twist. As well as dinner, we offer a tempting lunch menu and are happy to let the occasion or your appetite decide your choice. Enjoy the menu in full or just a course or two, the choice is yours and is priced accordingly. Our Sunday Lunch is extremely popular and booking a table is recommended.
The dining room itself is beautifully furnished with gleaming cutlery, crisp white linen napkins and candles.
We are open to non-residents for lunch and dinner, please telephone to make a reservation.
NB – COVID-19 – Due to social distancing measures, all tables must be pre-booked including for resident breakfast. Our table booking time availability may be limited due to current restrictions. Non Resident diners have a 2 hour limit per table.
New Years Eve & New Years Day – Sorry but no lunches are served on New Years Eve as we prepare for our Gala Dinner in the evening. New Years Day is an enhanced lunch menu. Menu’s on these days have an increased price per person than our normal menu.
Our wine list is a labour of love and devotes itself mainly to Spanish and Portuguese wines, reflecting the owner’s heritage. We import many interesting and unusual vintages from the Iberian Peninsula, but if these aren’t to your taste then we are certain you will find something to suit you and we are more than happy to recommend wines, just ask.
