Covid-19 Information

Covid-19, Guest Pre Arrival & Non resident diner Information – August 2021. 




During these uncertain times, please be assured that we are fully committed to working with you to carry on delivering our first class service, however, certain services will remain altered in some way in order to err on the side of caution & follow hotel policies.

With safety our priority, we have conducted a rigorous risk assessment and have strict control measures in place. We will review our risk assessment regularly to ensure that we comply with any changes in Hotel Policies and Government guidelines, we have reduced the risk of Covid-19 to a minimum and our procedures are working for yours and our staff safety at all times.

The owners and staff at Lyzzick Hall would like to take this opportunity to thank you in advance for your patience during these trying times.

Before arrival at the hotel, you will receive a pre arrival information letter with your confirmation of your booking, you will also have a welcome letter in your room. Please read the guidance carefully.

All Guests  Please, for the safety of all guests, staff and families DO NOT arrive at the hotel but contact us to cancel your booking if you, or any member of your party, feels unwell, displays any symptoms of Covid-19 or have been advised by Government or a medical professional to self isolate; you or any of your party, have in the last 14 days, been in close contact with any person who has developed Covid-19 symptoms; you, or any member of your party have recently arrived into the UK from another country which has a high or increasing rate of Covid-19 or have been asked to quarantine.

Face masks – Although no longer a legal requirement, the Directors and management team respectfully request that guests to continue to wear masks when moving around public areas of the hotel.

All staff have been trained in deep cleaning and disinfection methods to the highest standard of cleanliness and the importance of vigilance in hygiene and virus control.

Our waiting staff will not be wearing gloves but are abiding by our strict hand washing and sanitising protocol at all times. Masks are mandatory for all front of house staff whilst in the restaurant and lounges but are not required to wear them in bar or reception where there is a screen or in the outdoor areas. Gloves, masks and aprons are mandatory for our housekeeping team.

High contact areas are cleaned regularly by our dedicated housekeeping team.

Sanitise stations are placed in key areas around the hotel, please sanitise each time you enter the hotel and before you enter lounges, bar or restaurant.

All room keys are sanitised for arrival, please keep your key with you throughout your stay and return on departure only.

Bedrooms will be serviced every other day, longer stays will receive a linen change after three nights, if you do not wish your room to be serviced at all please inform reception as soon as possible either on or before your arrival.

To eliminate the risk of cross contamination our linen and towels are professionally laundered.

Strict food and drink service hygiene and safety measures are in place for all of our waiting and kitchen teams.

With a limited number of tables in our dining room, all dinner and breakfast times must be pre-booked for the duration of your stay. To ensure that we have a table for all guests please ensure you have pre booked a table as soon as possible after booking and a minimum of 48 hours before your arrival date, this will continue after all restrictions are lifted. Due to a limit of tables your preferred time may not be available. Early diners will have a two hour maximum time allocated at your table. Guests booked on a bed & breakfast basis we cannot guarantee you will be able to book a table for dinner at short notice.

If you do not wish to have dinner, please inform us of this as soon as possible and before your arrival.

Breakfast times are 8.00,8.15,9.15,9.30, 9.45.

Dinner times are 6.00,6.15,6.30,8.00,8.15 or 8.30pm only. (8.45pm on Friday & Saturday nights)

All furniture is arranged to accommodate the hotel service, we politely request that it remain in those positions.

Our swimming pool area is now permanently closed.

Non resident guests to the hotel – Face masks – although no longer required by law, the Directors & management respectfully request that you continue to wear a mask on entry and whilst moving around the public areas of the hotel.

Please do not arrive more than 15 minutes before your booking time as we have limited lounge space available. Bookings for early diners, pre dinner drinks are available in the lounge only if you arrive with adequate time prior to your booked table slot. All after dinner coffee will be served at your table. Later diners will be directly to the table for the duration of your meal. During busier times all non resident guests maybe directed straight to the restaurant for the entirety of your meal. Additional tables and seating has been placed in the garden should you wish to enjoy the views in better weather.

We respectfully ask that non resident guests for lunch & dinner do not arrive at the hotel more than 15 minutes earlier than their booking time. Due to a reduction in our tables we have had to place a strict 2 hour time limit on all restaurant bookings. Please contact us immediately if you are running late as this may affect how long you have at your table or if service can still be offered. You will not be able to be seated in the lounge pre dinner if you are running late.

If you are joining resident guests for dinner, please ask reception to let guests know that you have arrived.
